Syed Taqvi comes from a scholarly background. He is the son of Molana Syed Musadiq Haider Taqvi, a recognised scholar and representative of Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Najafi, one of the leading maraja based in Najaf.
Syed Taqvi began delivering lectures at the age of fifteen and has since spoken internationally in English.
In terms of academic training, Syed Taqvi has pursued traditional Islamic studies, completing his Arabic syntax and morphology under Sayed Asrar Kazmi at the Hawza ilmiyya in Najaf. He is also undertaking further studies in Islamic Studies under Sheikh Mansoor Laghaie, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Religion, Ethics, and Philosophy with The Open University.
In addition to his speaking and debating activities, Syed Taqvi is a published author who has written works for both children and adults. His publications focus on the lives of the Prophets and the Ahlulbayt ع, as well as contemporary Shia-Sunni polemical discussions.
